THQ Nordic published its Interim Report for Q1 this morning, and with it revealed a ton of news coming out of the publisher, chief of which was the confirmation that a new Saints Row game is in the works at Volition.
In the report which you can read here, THQ Nordic said: “Volition is deep in development of a brand-new Saints Row game.” – it’d be the first new game in the Saints Row series since 2013’s Saints Row IV (not counting the sorta-but-not-really-spin-off Agents of Mayhem in 2017.)
Elsewhere in the report comes the confirmation that the long, long in gestation Dead Island 2 has now been handed to a new studio, and rather than the previously rumoured Sumo Digital, lead development is rather going to be handed to Dambuster Studios, who were previously responsible for Homefront: The Revolution.
Ironically enough, the label also announced that they will be handling publication duties for Dying Light 2 from original Dead Island developers Techland in Europe and Australia. (In case you need reminding, Square Enix are handling those duties in the US.)
